About Sadaga

Sadaga was established in 2006 by a small group of Arabic speakers who were dedicated to actively reaching out to other women from similar backgrounds where Arabic was their main language.

Negat and Wafa met in their local stay and play group and connected straight away. At the time, they were the only women of colour in their play group.

They were both from different countries, but they had the Arabic languague in common, so they attended the play group every week and wanted to start something similar for women and their children who spoke the Arabic language in Bristol and the surrounding area. They knew that what was needed was for women to come together and supprt each other with their language.
