Roots to Wellbeing
Sadaga Roots to Wellbeing is a new nature-based support group for Arabic-speaking women in the Lawrence Hill area, run by Your Park and Sadaga. The group offers a safe, women-only space for those experiencing isolation or life challenges affecting their wellbeing. Women may come with a female supporter if needed.
Sessions use the benefits of nature to help women relax, connect, and take part in activities such as arts and crafts, walks, relaxation, and peer support. Each session ends with a free shared meal, shaped by the group’s preferences. Transport can be provided if required.
Between sessions, Sadaga’s project lead will stay in touch with participants to offer support and signposting.
The first block starts Thursday 11th September, running weekly for 8 weeks (except half term), 10am–12.30pm, at Easton Christian Family Centre, with some activities in the garden and nearby park.
Women can self-refer, be referred by a professional, or contact Azza at Sadaga at info@sadaga.org.uk or Your Park at roots@yourpark.org.uk
